Did you know your iPhone Calculator can do more than basic math? It also has a built-in conversion tool that can quickly convert currencies and measurements without making you hunt around for another tool.
This can be especially handy when you’re travelling, following a recipe written in metric measurements, or trying to understand a measurement you don’t normally use.
In this video, I’ll show you how to convert currency and units on the iPhone Calculator using the Convert feature. You’ll see where to find it, how to choose what you want to convert, and how to switch between different types of conversions.
How to Use the iPhone Calculator Conversion Tool
The conversion feature is built right into the Calculator app. Once you turn it on, you can choose the type of conversion you need and enter the amount you want converted.
For example, if you’re travelling, you can switch between currencies such as Canadian dollars, U.S. dollars, and euros. If you’re working with a recipe or measurement, you can switch between options such as pounds and grams.
It’s a simple iPhone feature, but it can save you from stopping what you’re doing to search for a conversion somewhere else.
