How to Add a Lead Magnet to SubStack

Most of the people who land on one of your SubStack articles might not be subscribed yet. They may have found your publication or article after googling, asking AI, or a friend recommended you check something out.

If you don’t give them something to do in that moment to encourage them to become a subscriber, they may very likely read it, nod along, then probably close the tab and you might never see them again! How sad is that? You had their attention for three whole minutes and got nothing out of it.

A lead magnet inside your post catches them right when they’re most interested. They just read something that made sense to them, so the ask feels earned instead of random. Incentivizing your readers with something that’s helpful or useful is one of the easiest ways to grow your subscribers.

SubStack JUST unlocked a new feature that makes this easy. Previously, we had to kind of offer a workaround using our welcome email. Now, we can add as MANY different lead magnets as want to different posts.

This video will show you how to get set up in under six minutes!
