She Posted One Reel a Week and Hit 40K Followers

If you’ve ever wondered, “Do I need to post every day on Instagram?”, you’re probably also wondering how anyone has time to actually run a business while doing it.

There’s always another piece of advice telling you to post more, try a new format, use trending audio, improve your captions, study the algorithm, or jump on whatever strategy is working this week. Before long, you can spend hours working on Instagram without actually publishing much of anything.

That’s exactly the kind of overwhelm this video addresses.

It’s for women who are willing to do the work, but are tired of feeling like social media requires a full-time job. It’s also for anyone who thinks growing an Instagram account must mean creating content every day or constantly chasing trends.

Do you really need to post every day on Instagram?

In this video, I share the story of my client Myrna, a retired teacher who started out feeling completely unsure about Instagram and nervous about making Reels.

Instead of trying to keep up with everything she thought she was supposed to do, she chose something she could realistically maintain: one helpful Reel every Thursday.

She posted her first Reel in February 2024. She kept going, even when that first video wasn’t filmed in the correct format. Then one of her Reels took off. Her account grew to more than 40,000 followers, with strong organic engagement, while she continued following the simple routine she had started with.

The bigger lesson isn’t that everyone should post exactly once a week. It’s that you may not need more tactics, more content, or more time on Instagram. You may need a clear plan you can actually stick with.

Watch the video to see what Myrna did differently and why doing less helped her keep moving forward.
