How to Instantly Improve Your Captions, Emails, and Copy Results from Chat GPT With my Never List
If you use ChatGPT to help write emails, captions, or other marketing content, you may have noticed something annoying: after a while, everything starts to sound a little too much like ChatGPT.
The words might be fine. The message might even be accurate. But certain sentence patterns, repeated phrases, and predictable structures can make your content sound like it came straight from AI instead of from you. One example I see often is that familiar string of short phrases: “No this. No that. Just this.” Once you notice it, you start seeing it everywhere.
So, how do you make ChatGPT sound less like AI without giving up the time it can save you?
How to get ChatGPT to write more like you
One of the best ways to improve your results is to get much more specific about what you don’t want ChatGPT to do.
In this video, I show you how I use what I call my Never List, a list of writing habits and patterns I don’t want showing up in my content. I add it when I give ChatGPT a writing task, along with information about the audience I’m speaking to. Then I keep working with the response instead of assuming the first draft is finished.
I’ll also show you how this fits with ChatGPT personalization and memory, and why I still give ChatGPT important audience and brand information when I’m creating content.
The goal isn’t to have AI do all your writing for you. It’s to start with a much better draft so you spend less time removing obvious AI habits and more time adding your own ideas, opinions, and voice.
