The progression of a redesign

I’ve had the privilege of being the web designer for the website iterations for Jac McNeil for a couple of years now. I thought it was time to highlight where we’ve been since we started.

Here’s what we started with.  A very spacious, clean, and professional look.  Bringing in a lot of nature photos and anchoring the white with black, burnt amber, and a lake blue.

JacMcNeil Original

Jac contacted me in November of 2012 to look at her site again. She wanted it to feel more her. We wanted to bring in her warmth and her elegant sense of style.

This iteration felt much more her.  But there was still something missing.  After reaching out to a graphic designer who created a new header and tweaked her color palette, I implemented this design:

Jac McNeil — truth + transformation for women solopreneurs

We left it up for a few days before both feeling like the color palette didn’t quite pop the way she’s envisioned. Together, we created her final iteration (and both couldn’t feel happier!).

Hi K!!! This was so fun to see the steps we took to bring me to this current version. I LOVE working with you. The fact that you’re also a trained coach makes this process deep, powerful and collaborative. Thank you for being so awesome at what you do! xo
