For the past 14 years I've been helping women make the moves to grow their business online. So many of my clients think that I never struggled because I'm so photogenic. Spoiler alert: I'm not. I have YEARS of failed family photos to prove it.
About six years ago I set out to learn how to do Instagram well. I had a MASSIVE block about doing video. You see, I'm a HUGE introvert. I had a story that introverts can't do video because it messes with our energy.
So I sought the advice of mentors. Who said, lovingly, "Well, Krista. It's just you and your phone. How much more introverted do you need it to be?"
Mic drop.
So I set out to grow my confidence on camera. My first few attempts? Definite fails. But I didn't let that stop me. You see, around the same time I knew my marriage was over. I just needed to find the courage to leave. And when I did, and I no longer had the luxury of a double income, I knew I needed to figure this out. As a newly single mother, my livelihood now depended on it.
At the beginning of 2023, I set out with a single goal. To find a way to have a healthier relationship to social media.
After the previous year, I was feeling the weight of the algorithm. I would post something and hear nothing but crickets. So I jumped in and tried stupid pointing and dancing videos. All that did was make me REALLY uncomfortable, AND look like an idiot.
So I really sat down and thought, "Okay, I have to figure this out, not only for myself, but for most of my clients who also feel the same way". I identified two goals: how can I stay relevant to my current followers so that they can see me and see my content and how do I grow my reach? How do I expand and invite other people into my community?
This course? It's the answer to the method I've developed and refined all year.
