A Candid Look at My Policy on Using Generative Text AI For Client Work
At Activate Her Awesome, I believe in the power of human creativity and expertise to provide the highest quality services. That’s why I don’t use any artificial intelligence (AI) tools or technologies to generate content for my clients. If you’re hiring me to create anything for you, I want you to know that every word your business gets from me is 100% written by me.
I also want to be transparent about how I actually use AI tools like Claude and ChatGPT and Gemini inside my own process, because I think you deserve to know the whole story.
Sure, AI can be a useful tool when you know how to leverage it. I believe messaging requires a human touch that can’t be replicated by machines. You know it, I know it, and that’s why I rely on human ingenuity and creativity to get the job done.
I use AI to research and to organize my own thoughts. Sometimes I’ll ask it to interview me so I can hear my own ideas back and figure out what I actually think. When I’m working on a sales page or a social media caption for my own business, I’ll ask it for inspiration or a few directions to consider. But I will never copy and paste what it gives me.
Here’s why. I tried that early on and I noticed something happening to my writing. It started sounding like everyone else who was using AI. Same rhythm. Same phrasing. I lost my own voice in the process, and that’s the last thing I want to hand you.
So when you see a sales page, a caption, or any piece of content from me, it may have gone through AI as a thinking partner but everything that came out the other side written by me, in my words, in my voice. I stand behind fully behind every sentence.
That’s the deal. Full transparency, both ways.
